How A Successful Partnership of Two GC’s Is A Win For The Local Community

Throughout its twenty-three years of business, Marand Builders, has grown independently with an internal focus on forward thinking and collaboration. In 2020, Marand was presented with an opportunity to partner with Brasfield & Gorrie for an upcoming healthcare project in the Charlotte area. Marand, alongside Brasfield & Gorrie worked together as partners for the first time to build Atrium Health’s new Medical Office Building outside of Charlotte. Located in Stallings, NC this facility is a 60,000 square foot multi-practice space that includes a compounding chemotherapy pharmacy, two labs, a chemotherapy infusion bay suite, 5 procedure rooms and 80 exam rooms. The facility opened in late February 2022 and is now offering award winning care to the surrounding community. Marand Builders strives to provide clients with the best construction experience, and what better way to demonstrate this than by partnering with Brasfield & Gorrie.

“For the past 18 months I had the pleasure of working with the Charlotte Brasfield & Gorrie Team on the construction of the Atrium Union West Medical Office Building. Partnering with Brasfield & Gorrie was a broadening and rewarding experience for me personally as well as Marand Builders as a whole. The exposure to larger scale construction, especially in the core and shell phase, will aid in business growth opportunities for Marand as we are able to provide more complex services throughout our footprint.”

In the end, this project provided Marand with new insight and take-home experiences. Our first partnership with a larger GC proved to be successful and we look forward to the next opportunity.
