Francisco AlvaradoCEO, OWNER Executive Profile Francisco started his professional carrier in 1983 as an Electrical Project Engineer with Formosa Plastics Corporation, Baton Rouge, LA, in the construction of power stations and electrical designs for production lines. In 1985 Mr. Alvarado accepted a position with Hoechst Celanese in Delaware, as a Senior Electrical Engineer in charge of design and construction of new lines for the production of PVC films. Within two years he was promoted to Marketing Manager Worldwide for PVC films and moved to Hoechst’s headquarters in Germany, were he resided for the next eight years. In 1995, Francisco returned to the US for a two year assignment as a Hoechst Celanese Business Director of North America for PVC/A-PET Films, with the task of selling the business unit. After successfully completing his assignment and after gaining 12 years of experience managing business worldwide for Hoechst, he chose not to return to Headquarters in Germany, stayed in Charlotte and started his own business. In 1998 AlvaCor, Inc. was formed by Mr. Alvarado as its owner and President. For the last 11 years, AlvaCor has been successfully serving the commercial and residential industry with framing, drywall and acoustical ceiling trades. In 1999 Mr. Alvarado established Marand Builders, Inc.; he is the owner and serves as its CEO. Marand Builders, Inc. is a General Contractor firm serving the southeast. Mr. Alvarado provides strategic direction, growth management and business development leadership for the firms.
